George Zimmerman Sues NBC for Portraying Him as a 'Racist and Predatory Villain'

I can accept that he deserves a fair trial, but really?

George Zimmerman, the man facing second-degree murder charges in one of the most racially charged and controversial cases in recent memory is seeking damages against NBC for portraying him as a "racist and predatory villain."

The suit, filed this afternoon, claims, "NBC saw the death of Trayvon Martin not as a tragedy, but as an opportunity to increase ratings."

However I am not sure what the media did was a tort or a crime. Not so much with Zimmerman.

If they were simply "telling the truth", it seems weird that NBC would fire "at least two employees" for telling the truth.

You'd also think that an NBC president wouldn't go on record saying "It was a mistake" if they were "telling the truth".

He's going to win this or get a big settlement, whether he is convicted or not. The lawsuit is just there to help them argue about the amount of money he gets.

NBC can now defend themselves by digging out even more of his dirty secrets. Which will result in more ratings.

I saw it on facebook before the networks picked it up. Dude must be running low on cash in his undisclosed location, and his lawyers are trying to figure out how they're going to get paid when his ass gets slammed into jail.

I'm reminded of the time an employer sued an employee for libel. The judge strongly advised the employer to dismiss his claims saying (of himself), "People call me an idiot all the time. That's an opinion. I disagree, but I can't sue."

FOX News' official line with her to this day (always repeated verbatim): "...acquitted of murdering her own daughter."
