Coming in 2013: The Workers' Spring?

It seems that after the election, organized labor is back in activist mode. It's almost like the sequel to Occupy Wall Street. Around Thanksgiving season, the strikes at Wal-Mart. The week after Thanksgiving, the fast food strikes in New York City. I first brought up the idea of a "Workers' Spring" on a thread about the strike. Then the strikes at the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports. And now MICHIGAN of all states is the latest front on the Republican War on Workers as the state legislature wants to turn the state with a storied labor legacy into a right-to-work-(for-less) state. Somehow Indiana (which became a right to work for less state last year) must've secretly annexed Michigan this month. Now I'm reading LBN and learn that Dem senators may want to cut Social Security and Medicare! Looks like next year, organized labor has MANY battles to fight and will get out on the streets, make their voices heard, and stand up to the politicians and union-busting thugs! It's time to remind Americans about the people whose work enhances their lives and whose jobs sustain the middle class!

Right to Work legislation. Bullshit. The new law is referendum-proof. More death of demoracy here. I am in mourning for my union and for my state.
