I own several firearms, have competed in Glock Shooting competitions and go to the several gun ranges, never heard the term in real life or online.
My CZ-52 is the closest to "grey" but is really metallic colored IMO

There is no color by that name on color meaning which lists 136 shades of gray for artists.
