Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) chewed out a House staffer after catching her riding on a “members only” elevator, according to an ITK tipster who was on the scene.

But Foxx’s office is calling our lookout's description of events in the elevator an "exaggeration."

Our spy hit the “members” button on the elevator after waiting (and waiting) for a lift on Tuesday. Elevators were slow that day because furniture was being moved around the Longworth House Office Building. When the members-only elevator arrived, our tipster and a female House staffer stepped in.

Why, by the way, does this democratic nation that has that "all men are created equal" thing in our founding documents have segregated elevators that only those people who are privileged enough to be elected by we the people to serve we the people can use? They should be kissing our asses - not the other way around.

That's disgusting. How demeaning of another human. I thought we parted from British Royalty and its trappings a few hundred years ago.

Too bad I bet most of the pages are young kids who are too afraid to call BULLSHIT on such a thing.

If anyone is going to bow to another person it should be my reps or senators bowing to me for electing them and paying their salary and benefits and pension.
