and they're screaming at the government for dragging their feet with the recovery.
You have to feel for them. They're living in the world their politics call for, and they won't make it to the week without jumping in their cars to find some public road to make it to the nearest La Quinta.

(35,961 posts)Say. But, all I can come up with is a boring fable about ants and grasshoppers.
Maybe they can fashion a raft by lashing together their crypto with boot straps?

I don't remember where I picked this up (maybe here on DU), but it certainly nails the mentality of libertarians.

THAT'S SOCIALISM FOLKS.
Demanding assistance instead of pulling yourself up by your jock/bra straps.
-I would have said "bootstraps", but that crowd looked like they'd get dizzy lacing up boots.

(11,708 posts)Why didn't they walk the 6 miles back to their cars? There they were standing around complaining at midnight. The rally was done at 7 pm. If they had walked back, they would have been at their cars by midnight.
But noooooo. They expected to be picked up by someone else. Instead they were left behind in the cold desert night. I heard snow was forecast for that evening. They should have pulled themselves together and delt with it.
Trump proving again he doesn't care what happens to his cult followers.

(11,591 posts)to realize, when he says to "vote for him this time, and that they will never need to vote again"......
Meaning, that they will establish a tyranny like Russia, China, NKorea, Iran, etc etc etc where voting happens but is worthless.....

(11,708 posts)The thousands of stranded Trump rally supporters should have considered the free market instead of hanging around complaining until midnight in the freezing cold.
Bus lines could have arrived and charged a nice hefty fee for taking people back the 6 miles to their cars. At let's say $25 a head, a good free marketeer could make a bundle.
Where's the free market when you most need it?

(5,448 posts)Me, I got a power cord running from my neighbors, water that while its not drinkable yet flushed my toilet, a box of drinkable water from FEMA loaded into my car by the army or national guard- not sure which because they had an amazing system going loading and moving cars through. The sky is crystal clear making it easier for FPL guys to repair the lines.
