She was remarkable! It was for her book tour. She would have been such a fine President.

(29,283 posts)She doesn't come across as well on television as she does IRL. For one thing, her warmth doesn't come across for whatever reason. But what struck me the most about her in person was her responsiveness and breadth of knowledge. I happened to be in line at a book signing once where I had accompanied a disabled acquaintance (so I was at the front of the line with people who had various disabilities). I didn't take up any of her time, but many of the people there were in clear need of resources or had availed themselves of resources she had helped provide. She chatted with every one who had a story to tell, suggested resources, or discussed existing programs. It was impressive and it choked me up (when she handed me my signed book I was winking away tears and she just squeezed my hands).

She is truly an amazing woman!
Thx for sharing about your experience with her. I didn't get to meet her, I was just one amongst many in her huge crowd. LOL
