How any man could look his little daughter in the eye, then go down to the polling place and FUCKING VOTE TO TAKE AWAY HER FREEDOM AND ENDANGER HER LIFE...

19 years old. Her first election.

16 years old. Has cerebral palsy.

I feel like I failed them.

I voted straight Democratic in Illinois.

Both sets of my Grandparents were Mexican immigrants. My parents have passed, but would have voted for Kamala. My Mom's siblings are /were MAGA.

I've been battling with them since Barack Obama. My Father's family were mostly Democratic voters.

My MAGA family will gloat if trump wins. I suppose I'll deserve the taunts. I've been pretty brutal in my criticism of their support for trump.

I am not surprised about this. I was/am hopeful. But I am not surprised. This is America.
