A Magat selling Trump T-shirts made in China had the wrong idea about tariffs and inflation. This is an example of what I will do. A passerby (maybe me) stops and asks the Magat. You buy t shirts from China for 10 dollars and sell them for 20 dollars? magat says, right. Passerby says, with tariffs you will now pay 15 dollars for T shirts from China, are you still going to sell them for 20 dollars. Magat says no, I will pass the cost off to the consumer. Passerby (maybe me) then throws his hands up in the and grunts, idiot, and walks away.
