So Sick Of "Not The Day To Talk About Gun Control" & "Our Prayers Go Out To The Victims"

Because fucking prayers are meaningless. It's talking to yourself and imagining some god is listening. Well, it's obvious that there's no god to listen when shit like this happens. Praying answers no questions, does nothing to change our culture of gun violence, does nothing to stop this from happening again and brings no one back from the dead. One may as well say, "hey, it's Christmas time! Be happy!"

On the other hand, if there was ever a god-damned fucking day to talk about gun control, it is fucking today. Because until we have a VERY serious conversation about gun control, our prayers will be going out to more and more victims of senseless murder by gun.

So, if we must refrain from talking about gun violence until the day there are no deaths from gun violence, we will never be able to talk about it.

that can wait, does not want to REALLY face what it is that happened. They dishonor the people that it happened to by pretending that something else is more important than the horrific experience that harmed them.

I have no problems discussing current issues, and I'm not the praying type.
