After she objected to Turnip's tariffs (ME relies on natural gas from Canada, and it's damned cold up there right now, and ME has one of the poorest populations among US states) I felt a small glimmer of hope that she might consider becoming an Independent, like Angus King, the junior senator (who also served two terms as Governor). Doesn't look at all likely now.

Not sure how all of them would be disappeared.. idk, power in numbers seems all they got left. And I can’t believe either that they all want this direction. Likely more do not, than do.

It’s now or never for them, really, if that were the case.

Of course maybe most of them are blackmailed and would be destroyed, rather than disappeared. Isn’t that how Putin deals, gets dirt on them?

Guess time could tell, eventually. Who knows.

There likely are a half dozen or so Republican members of Congress for which "jumping ship", or at least actively opposing Trump, resonates with their "life script"-- or a sequence of metaphors--and places them in an advantageous position where a "whole-ness" with one's self is possible. In some respects, this sounds like a bunch of hokum, but sometimes odd things drive people to act. You know this: Trump's "decisions" are getting increasingly loopy. And you know that, in restaurants all over New York and DC, Republicans are talking. They are being curt with their phrasing, but they're all saying the same thing: we didn't want all of this to happen. They'll talk to the press in a different way, but when the press isn't around, it's a different story. That's how people are, no matter the political leaning.

They won't have to worry about primaries for the cult. Dems will vote for them during primaries and during the national elections. They just need to help us save our democracy and nation.
