I feel like we're living out the movie "Red Dawn." All of us remaining sane, unbrainwashed people are the Wolverines.

Maybe the Lincoln Project or somebody, should start playing this clip in their ads to wake up the smug, complacent MAGA cult who thinks Putin is a swell guy. Yes, I know this is a cheesy-ish movie, but this scene was pretty compelling.

welcomed with open arms by "Red Don." That DUer was 1,000 percent correct. I wonder what our military would do? Defend the country? Or stand down after orders from Rump?

And the weirdest part—almost weirdest—is how most people are just going about their day, not in the least bit aware of how bad things are at this moment.

Which is a shame, because it had an absolutely stacked cast. But that was the problem. Seeing such a legendary character actor as Harry Dean Stanton having to utter lines like: "Avenge me! Aveeeeeeeeeenge MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" was too fucking much.

The one good scene was the tank battle between American M1 Abrams tanks and Soviet T-72 tanks. At the time the movie was made, neither model of tank was available to the filmmakers, so they cobbled up some replicas. And, I have to say as a former tanker, those replicas were pretty good.
