The State of the Union is coming up on Tuesday, March 4th. My recommendation: don’t watch it. Not on ANY platform (not even YouTube), regardless of its political leanings.

6. By refusing to attend the State of the Union

Democrats could fire the first real shot in the battle against the fascist take over of both domestic and foreign policy in this country. All Democratic members of Congress must boycott the speech, ignore the tradition, and show the American people we are ready to fight, and this is how we begin. All of them, House Members and Senators alike should assemble at the same time as the SOTU, at an alternative site and inform the American people what is happening and how the decisions being made by the President and Congress are going to perilously effect their lives, and the lives of people in other countries as well. I guarantee it would get attention and it would rally the majority to understand, finally, the dangerous coup that is happening before our very eyes. It might even get the attention of non voters and some MAGA voters as well. By showing spine, speaking truth, and breaking tradition Congress could raise the alarm and begin to change the shape of things to come and the media conversation.
I called the local offices of my House Rep and both Senators and said I believe a boycott is where the first act of civil disobedience and protest begins in the fight against the corporate-theocratic-neofascist forces working against the welfare of “we the people”.
