Thousands of protesters on the mall?

Not so. The veterans weekend protest on the mall has been pretty much a bust. Despite headlines proclaiming “thousands” of protesters, I saw maybe two thousand on Friday. Expecting more on the weekend, yesterday’s crowd was not any larger. Local paper and news broadcasts cited “hundreds” of protesters. With heavy rain showers today I doubt there will be any large turnout. As a Navy Vietnam War era Corpsman I’m saddened. I think the organizers of this turnout are to blame for not getting the word out sooner.

I hope not. I worry if things get really ugly will soldiers and vets take the side of we the people and the constitution, or satan and his little Martian friend?
About 100 people came out in Lincoln NE on Friday.
