However, schools and churches (and the rest) have the right to ban their presence

Glad to see this. Sorry it took a massacre of children to push Republicans on such issues.

Hardly. They did nothing to halt the right to carry unconcealed weapons into schools in Mi.

Guess we'll just have to ban weapons completely so no one will have one to carry (legally).

...now I have to apologize for saying he is despicable. He is only unsavory.

(54,770 posts)10. I understood your comments, but don't expect too many people will be able to walk into a school with
a gun in their hand nowadays without getting the once over from every adult they pass. In fact, I'm sure of it.
I suspect someone stupid enough to walk into a school openly carrying will have the SWAT team on them quickly or someone will tackle them and beat the crap out of them.
I give the governor credit (for this, while cursing him on other things) and hope many more do the same . . . . . . and Chicago and DC table any thoughts of yielding to the NRA and their lackies on the Supreme Court by changing gun ownership/toting laws.

Not holding my breath on that one, but he found some cover on this. If CT hadn't happened, he'd have rubber stamped it along with all the other bills he promised not to sign like the RTW law...
