I grew up on a ranch and we always had a couple race horses in training. In fact, Billy Shoemaker rode our mare early in his career at Ruidoso.

This is a joke. He is no horseman. It’s a little insulting and gimmicky.

for a while I thought I was the only one.
Somehow my heart rate increases when I watch him.

It could be a throwback from when he was announcing election returns for Hillary.
