does Obama's re-election give him a mandate to use the word 'liberal'?

we have a twice-elected Democratic president and to my knowledge he has never called himself a liberal, or a progressive. It is possible he has never dared to utter the word.

In fact, our twice-elected Democratic president just called himself a Reagan-era REPUBLICAN.

His inclination is free market liberal.

He has said so himself. I will find the quote if you like.

but I don't think he's earned a title of "Liberal". To his credit, he's never claimed it.
