Out of nearly 250 Federally elected Reps and Senators why are there only about 10-15 that are actively calling Mango Mussolini's authoritarian and illegal actions??? They wonder why nobody wants to come out and vote for them,The people who support Democratic policies want someone to really get in there and fight for Democracy and the little people. I really appreciate the ones that do but they need more support of their colleagues.

(4,834 posts)Sometimes, we have to go in, dig for ourselves, and do our own work to find out what others are speaking out on. For profit media is unconcerned about fair access.
Just cause I don't hear it, don't mean it wasn't said... is what I am saying

(2,325 posts)I would have to say 'they' are making foolish choices. On one hand there are candidates openly telling voters that if elected, the voters will suffer. On the other hand there are candidates telling voters that the choice is simple - elect us and we will protect you. 'They' (those voters) aren't very smart.

(18,225 posts)DNC and most leaders with high visibility are relatively silent in the big arena.
Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been crossing the country, making the case. Gavin Newsom stood up powerfully.
Others are not making big impact. Impact matters! Team without a coach. Get it?
Here's a tip. When you get an email begging money for DNC, even one signed by the esteemed Barack Obama, when you unsubscribe from the latest beg list, there's a "We Wanna Know" button and text box. Let them know how their "Sounds of Silence" strategy is going for you!
Even if it gets read by a chatbot ( and what're the odds of that? 100% or more?) they just might get off their duffs.

(172 posts)am critical of what I see as too much passivity within our party at opposing this regime, but this time I am seeing a pretty well organized and powerful response from our leadership, if you take the time to burn through the standard memes of the corporate media. The media had done so much to sane-wash this regime, and to push the talking point that we are being overrun by imagined hordes, that it is difficult to hear our message, but it is out there. It's a shame the media doesn't remind the sheeple that Biden had negotiated a comprehensive immigration reform deal back in 2024 with the Republicon controlled Senate, but the mango mussolini threatened that anyone supporting the deal would be primaried, and it collapsed. Now, let's face it, the media loves crisis and Trump knows how to manufacture a crisis . . .

(3,418 posts)75 House Democrats broke with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries today and voted for a Republican resolution that condemned the Boulder attack and celebrated ICE.
Why it matters: Democrats spent the day criticizing President Trump for sending in the National Guard to put down protests in Los Angeles over ICE operations.
Earlier in the day, Jeffries said the House resolution "is not a serious effort."
A majority of his caucus, 113 members, voted against the resolution. But a third of House Democrats voted to express "gratitude to law enforcement officers, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland."
