I am on the email list of a number of groups including the DNC and other democratic groups. I have now received three or so emails from David Hogg pushing this candidate. The DNC needs to stay neutral in primary contests. Hogg's emails remind a great deal of the Justice Democrats emails.

Democratic National Committee vice chair David Hogg, the Gen Z activist at the center of a major intraparty dispute, is wading into another contested primary with an endorsement in the race to succeed the late Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Virginia), a contest that reflects broader generational and ideological tensions Hogg has stoked.
Hoggs political group, Leaders We Deserve, is backing 37-year-old state Del. Irene Shin, who is part of a crowded Democratic field vying later this month to fill Connollys seat in Northern Virginia after his death last month. One of Shins opponents is Fairfax County Supervisor James Walkinshaw, a 42-year-old former chief of staff to Connolly whom the congressman endorsed to succeed him before he died at age 75.
The endorsement of Shin is the second by Hoggs group since he announced plans in April for the organization to spend $20 million to primary out-of-touch, ineffective incumbent House Democrats. Leaders We Deserve has not backed any challengers to incumbents yet, but Hoggs involvement in primaries has still frustrated party leaders including DNC Chairman Ken Martin, given his expectation that DNC officers stay neutral in primaries.....
At least nine Democrats are seeking to fill Connollys seat, which represents a deep-blue swath of Fairfax County that the partys nominee will be heavily favored to win in a special election. Shin launched her campaign a week ago with a video calling for generational change.
The DNC needs to stay neutral in primary contests. I may contribute one of the candidates running against Hogg's candidate.

The virtual vote, which concluded on Wednesday and the results were obtained by POLITICO, vacated its two vice chair positions, stemming from a procedural complaint unrelated to Hoggs primary activities, and put forth a plan to hold a new election. Hogg and Pennsylvania state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta must now run again for their positions next week.
The election offers a potential reset for a party thats dealt with a series of Hogg-related controversies in recent weeks.
In April, Hogg announced the group that he co-founded, Leaders We Deserve, planned to drop $20 million on safe-seat Democratic primaries, hoping to oust asleep-at-the-wheel Democrats. The move triggered a wave of anger from elected officials and DNC members alike, who vented that Hoggs role as a party leader conflicted with the decision to take on incumbents.
The internal drama exploded again over the weekend, when POLITICO reported on leaked audio from a DNC meeting in which Chair Ken Martin told Hogg and other DNC leaders that his leadership has suffered due to the clash. The vice chair, Martin said, had essentially destroyed any chance I have to show national leadership.
