Suddenly I'm getting text messages from a Florida Department demanding

money for a late traffic ticket or else I could get a suspended license. I asked around and everyone I know seems to be plagued by them. Do you think this is the result of DOGE's access to private information? Or some other hack?

I get fake texts all the time from alleged ‘official’ departments. For example, a recent one from a toll road company for several 100s of dollars I owed in New York State (where I’ve never driven in my life).

When I examined the text, it was sent from someone’s yahoo mail account

They want to sell me free knee braces. I tell them both of my legs were amputated. They slam the phone on me. Or, I call them a MFer in Hindi.

Most of the toll texts I get seem to come from there.

Whatever is causing the surge, I’m sure it’s all Trump and the Republicans fault.

They all come from a number with a +63 country code. I haven't been in WV since January, so I know it's a scam and I definitely didn't get a ticket whilst I was there. My car has been parked not in WV for months.

The return phone number was really bizarre +63...... This was the first one for a traffic ticket the others were for toll violations. Classic scam.
