This is such important advice. Optics are everything. ICE attacking citizens waving American flags while singing the national anthem would not be a good look.
I'll go a step further, but I know many will disagree. I think we should employ religious symbols. Signs asking "what would Jesus do?" Wear one of those giant honking crucifixes around your neck. Carry a huge cross. Sing religious hymns. Doesn't matter if you're a believer; we can use religion just as effectively as they do.
Look, we'll be lucky to get any decent media coverage at all Saturday. Protesters singing "whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me" might, just possibly, give some observers pause for thought. (more than hey hey, ho ho, whatever...)
