Does anyone remember the Capitol Police officers who were beaten almost to death by Trump's thugs on Jan 6, 2021?
Under President Biden, a plaque honoring them was commissioned, approved, and produced. The plaque now sits in a basement storeroom in the Capitol but Speaker Johnson -- no doubt acting on Trump's orders -- refuses to install the plaque.
Now, two of the Jan 6 officers are suing to force the installation.
Contact your member of the House and your Senators and demand the plaque be installed.

Former U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges said that a 2022 law, signed by former President Biden, directed the Architect of the Capitol to install a memorial honoring officers who fought back that day.
But the deadline to do so has long passed and theres no sign of the plaque.
After the law was passed, the politics around January 6, 2021, changed, and many politicians who once spoke plainly about the dangers of that day began to rewrite its history, and minimize the terror of the attack, the complaint reads. Four years since Congress passed the law, and three years since the deadline for its installation has lapsed, the memorial has not been put up.
Architect of the Capitol Thomas Austin said at a hearing in April that the plaque has been made, but modifications to the House side of the building must be directed by the Speaker. Austin said he had not yet received those instructions from Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

The lawsuit cites a 2022 law signed by President Biden that required the honorary plaque be hung by March 2023. The plaque has been completed and in storage since at least last year, but GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson has not committed to installing it at the Capitol.
The dispute over the plaque has angered victims and inflamed a politically divisive issue on Capitol Hill. Republican leaders, who control the administration of the Capitol complex, have not honored requests by some officers and Democratic colleagues to hang the plaque, as required under federal law.
In their lawsuit, former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges argue President Trump has spun conspiracy theories about Jan. 6, that have been adopted by his Republican allies in Congress.
"After Congress passed the law, the politics of January 6 began to change. Donald Trump began to call the attack on the Capitol a 'day of love,' and said that 'the cops should be charged and the protesters should be freed," the lawsuit said. "As Trump's political fortunes rebounded, elected officials began to parrot his claims about the day."
