I offer my deep concern and solidarity with the people in California; these are unarmed citizens standing up for the rule of law against illegal kidnapping and deportation. The military might of the United States Marines is threatening them.

This is not creeping fascism. This is full-on police state tyranny by the gangster President Donald Trump.

And this is the man who will soon be crossing our border to attend the G7 meetings in Canada.

I have received hundreds of messages from outraged Canadians that a convicted felon, sexual predator and the man who has threatened our nation's sovereignty is being allowed into our country.

I understand the Prime Minister's reluctance to escalate the tense situation with the MAGA president, but we must understand what we are being asked to engage with.

Donald Trump poses a clear threat to American democracy, to Canada and the international rule of law.

TRUMP’S ALIGNMENT WITH PUTIN

This morning, I will lay out a straightforward indictment of Donald Trump.

Since November 2024, Donald Trump has made over 100 public attacks on Canada. But when it comes to the war criminal, Vladimir Putin defends, explains and shields Putin. He does this at the clear expense of the American people and Western allies.

He promotes Putin while continually attacking President Zelensky, the people of Ukraine and the people of Canada.

When Putin launched his murderous invasion of Ukraine, Trump declared Putin a genius and said the arbitrary seizure of Ukrainian territory was wonderful.

Trump refuses to denounce the murderous bombing of cities and has falsely accused President Zelensky of having started the war.

Trump has put European security at risk for the benefit of Russia.

And he continually undermines American domestic security.

INTELLIGENCE FAILURES

When Russia launched cyber-attacks on the United States, Trump downplayed the threat and blamed the lamestream media.

Russia interfered with the US election, which may have helped Trump get elected in 2016. Trump has run interference to stop any investigations.

And yet, Donald Trump is more than willing to attack Canada.

Earlier this year, Pete Navarro pushed to get Canada kicked out of the Five Eyes Intelligence Network. Canada plays a key role in the Five Eyes, helping keep Americans safe. It's a job that we, as an ally and neighbour, have always done.

But MAGA has turned Canada into their number one enemy with bogus claims from FBI Director Kash Patel about terrorists flooding over the border.

Now, let's compare this to Trump's dealings with Russia.

In March, MAGA Washington ordered US Cyber Command to suspend operations against Russia.

The United States shut down efforts to counter Russian sabotage.

Attorney General Pam Bondi blocked the FBI's Foreign Interference Task Force, leaving the United States vulnerable to secret influence campaigns by Russia, China, and other adversaries.

This raises the question: Is Donald Trump loyal to the United States and the people who voted for him or to Vladimir Putin?

In February 2025, President Trump said he wanted Russia reinstated into the G7.

He falsely blamed Canada for having Russia expelled from the G8. They were expelled for illegally invading Ukrainian territory. In February, Trump opposed a European resolution condemning Moscow's ongoing war against Ukraine.

In opposing this vote defending Ukraine's territorial integrity, the United States voted with the gangster regimes of Russia, Belarus and North Korea.

Trump then rejected Canada's proposal to tackle Russia's shadow fleet of oil tankers being used to undermine sanctions.

In February, the United States vetoed Canada's proposal to establish a task force to monitor sanction breaches by Russia.

Attorney General Pam Bondi disbanded the program aimed at seizing assets of Russian oligarchs.

AIDING ENEMY WAR CRIMES

Putin, like Netanyahu, has bombed hospitals.

Putin, like Netanyahu, has bombed schools.

Trump supports both leaders.

Putin has kidnapped over 19,000 Ukrainian children.

In March 2023, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin over unlawful deportation and transfer of children.

As soon as he came to power, Donald Trump cut funding for the Yale program that was tracking the Ukrainian children who had been kidnapped into Russia.

In March 2025, Russian Lawmaker Andrei Kartapolov called for the United States to stop providing Ukraine with intelligence.

Following this, Trump cut intelligence sharing, leading to a series of Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities.

Trump defended Putin's attacks. He has said:

Putin is easier to deal with than the people of Ukraine.

THE TARIFF WAR

Trump has launched massive tariffs against Canada, Mexico, and Europe. His key allies. He has targeted 150 countries, including countries as small as Madagascar, Rwanda, St. Helena, Liechtenstein, and Senegal.

He has not imposed any tariffs on Russia, falsely claiming there is no trade.

In fact, $3.5 billion in Russian trade was exempted from tariffs.

Trump says he wants more trade with Russia.

He is attacking Canada's manufacturing, entertainment, steel, and agricultural industries while promoting Russian interests.

A MESSAGE TO THE PRIME MINISTER

Canada can no longer view the United States as an ally.

Trump doesn't believe in liberal democracy. He doesn't believe in the rule of law.

Canada is an open and inclusive society. It is little wonder that Donald Trump has denounced our nation as one of the nastiest countries he has had to deal with.

His threat to use economic force to "get rid of the border" and force us to join his country has not abated.

So, let's not kid around anymore regarding the threat posed by Donald Trump.

Prime Minister Carney is not inviting the leader of the free world to join us at the G7 in Canada. He is welcoming Vladimir Putin's sock puppet, who will have the best seat in key negotiations with the G6.

Canada must be focused on containing this clear and present danger to our nation and the rule of law.

We must stand with Ukraine and allies who believe in the democratic order.

The Prime Minister must state boldly that he will stand up against any attempts to pressure businesses and organizations in Canada from going along with Trump's anti-DEI measures.

Canada is a nation of diversity, equity and inclusion. This is what makes Canada a light in this new dark age of gangster regimes.

Trump is the gangster.

We must keep the boycott strong.
We must support American citizens fighting the rise of fascism in their country.
We must remain true. North. Strong. Free.
