I don't for a moment think that Netanyahu is thinking "this is because the Iranian government has blame for killing Ukrainian civilians - this will make them think again about that". I don't think the Iranian government will tie this to Ukraine either.

But I am thinking of it in those terms.

I have so much rage over what's happening to Ukraine that I can't even see straight. So if the universe ends up delivering some karma to Iran, I'm okay with it.

And anyway, Iran could certainly have chosen not to support groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. They've certainly done more to provoke Israel than Ukraine ever did to provoke them.

I don't claim this as a rational position, and I think maybe events over the past few years are turning me into a monster. It's how I feel though. And I'd bet that there's not many tears being shed for Iran in Kyiv, or Kharkiv, or Odesa right now.

Ukraine has never done ANYTHING to earn any hostility from Iran, and you certainly can't say that Iran hasn't earned hostility from Israel.
