https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/tlg/7857143452.htmlT-Mellon Events is looking for seat fillers and extras to provide their time for space maximization and attendance perception for an event taking place in Washington DC on June 14th. Extras and Seat fillers will check in on the morning of June 14th at 9:00 a.m.
Extras are required to wear Red, White and Blue clothing and will be provided a RED hat to wear. GOLD accessories are acceptable as well. The team will advise the extras where to stand or sit according to the line of sight from a VIP viewing platform area.
Extras and Seat fillers will be paid a flat daily fee and will be provided a lunch of fast food and soda.
We encourage people of color and ethnic groups to sign up for maximum perception control and these individuals will be prominently displayed on the televised broadcast and local viewing screens to be seen by the VIP platform.

(17,286 posts)The original ad was changed from "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT LLC" to show that compensation is from "FIGHT FITE FIGHT LLC."

(15,648 posts)There were a few earlier threads on this.
For one thing, Trump is too cheap to pay $1,000 a head.
On edit: real post, fake offer.

(27,947 posts)Yesterday I was excoriated for posting the same and actually certain individual(s) took REAL exception to my apology for doing so so I removed the post, something I believe I may have done three times in 21 years here. I have a terrific memory for names, however

(3,892 posts)a) the valuable real-estate of General Discussion being diminished by repeated posts of dubious stories, and
b) the frustration of real issues going un-discussed or under-discussed because Trump and his dumbass minions have people jumping at every shadow

(27,947 posts)I might also consider that these things happen and, like spelling mistakes or errors of syntax, these are issues which naturally appear online and are part of the landscape, so to speak. Sometimes topics plummet from the first page and theyre missed by someone who might have had something else to do, like perform surgery upon a child, for example.
There are a few here who live by the mantra: I once made a mistake
I said Nobodys perfect. Yeah.

(38,093 posts)This is clearly nonsense. Someone having fun trolling. And it's been posted here at least a half-dozen time in the last 24 hours.
There is no contact information to sign up.
Even if they are taking all comers the day of, there is no location to meet up. No way to identify who is supposed to give you your seating assignment.
T. Mellon Events doesn't exist.
And the ad, although apparently real in the sense that someone posted it was being held for review the last time I heard anything about it.
