Criminals Are Impersonating ICE Agents
This is what happens when federal authorities are allowed to seize people without identifying themselves.

Police in Philadelphia are searching for a man who robbed a business while masquerading as a Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, according to Fox 29.

A man wearing a tactical vest with the words “Security Enforcement Agent” entered a car repair business Monday afternoon and detained a 50-year-old woman from the Dominican Republic using zip-ties, before making away with roughly $1,000, according to police.

“He kept saying he is immigration officer,” the woman told Fox 29’s Steve Keeley.

Crimes like these are the inevitable result of the Trump administration’s sweeping crackdown on undocumented immigrants, as part of the government’s massive deportation efforts ...

UCCS alerts public to police officer impersonation scam

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is alerting the public to a scam involving people impersonating UCCS police officers.

According to UCCS, the university’s police department became aware of a scam involving people falsely posing as UCCS police officers. The scammers are contacting people by phone and advising them that they face imminent arrest due to an outstanding warrant or missed jury duty unless they pay a fine.

UCCS said in at least one case, the caller was able to spoof the number of the UCCS Police Department’s dispatch number ...

Man arrested for impersonating officer at Chicago ICE protest

A man who was arrested for impersonating an officer during the Chicago ICE protests in the Loop Thursday afternoon had a loaded weapon when he was taken into custody, according to police sources.

Chicago police said officers were on patrol in the 200 block of South Michigan Avenue around 5 p.m. when they received a radio call about a suspicious man wearing "police identifiers."

Police sources said the 21-year-old man was wearing a black polo shirt with the word "police" on the back and a black bag with a police patch on it, too. But he wasn't an officer and could not provide valid police credentials.

Police sources also said he was openly carrying a loaded semi-automatic pistol ...

According to the Riverbank Police Services, the man who was driving was in a dark-colored sedan that was equipped with flashing red and blue lights. Crews responded to the scene and were able to find the vehicle in a nearby residential neighborhood.
