Update: The AP has a split screen with 4 separate camera views. The lower right one does at times seems to show a decent crowd but they seem to be packed into a really small area. The mall camera looks like any Saturday in Summer - people wandering around though some people are understandably curious to see a tank up close. The upper right is the reviewing stand, which seems rather small and there doesn't appear to be much of anyone else around that area - like they're keeping it clear for security purposes.
Update 2: the lower right camera now seems to be showing a small group of peaceful protestors.

The one live webcam I can find is from the top of the Washington Monument. The clarity isn't great, but you can see people moving around on the ground. The Parade route is on Constitution Avenue - the street on the right running parallel to the reflecting pool.
It doesn't look like there are any significant crowds lining the street.

(2,896 posts)they would have done it by now. Even small town parades have people staked out along the route a few hours in advance.
Thanks for posting the cam - keeping an eye on it!

(23,009 posts)It was nice out earlier so I'm not surprised people went down to the mall during the day, but if the storms are bad, there will be two outcomes:
1) Trump will insist on having the parade. It will be at best terrible optics (drenched troops looking miserable being forced to march through the city for nobody's benefit but Trump), and at worst somebody will get struck by lightning.
2) Trump will cancel the parade and have a sad.
Either way, I don't think the concert or fireworks will go ahead.

(5,405 posts)Based on the radar, right now it looks like the rain will move in right around 7:00 pm. I think you're right about the concert & fireworks.

(7,488 posts)it will still be the greatest parade for Trump ever and he'll be whining about it for years.
Can that Jewish apace laser make it rain? Maybe the NWS doesn't just predict the weather like MTG claims.
I'm going to stick with MTG actually being stupider than Trump.

Can't blame the armed forces that are marching - the parade wasn't their choice.

(62,710 posts)This is C-Span coverage of the Pro-Iraq War rally, and if you slide up to about the 9:00 minute mark, you'll get an idea of why this seems familiar. The crowd shots are truly memorable.

(20,550 posts)In the shots they're showing, I see handfuls lining the streets. There is nowhere a MULTITUDE.
I'd say the parade participants far outnumber the spectators.
