Despite threats 10's of thousands showed up in austin texas

Despite what the police called a credible threat 10’s of thousands showed up in austin Texas to protest taco don. In addition I was at an earlier protest in Pflugerville where over 1k showed up

And this was all despite extremely muggy weather with heat indexes of 100 or more

The Statesman's news photos sure focused very little on the crowd in front of the Capitol. summer_in_TX Jun 15 #9

Many more photos were of the "several hundred" protesters who walked to the JJ Pickle Federal Building after the main rally was over. Smaller crowds. Several shots with individuals sitting by themselves near the police (most with an American flag).

Then at the Capitol only one really focusing on the crowd. Several with a drag queen who performed. I lost count of the number of photos of her.

I was hoping to see more of the crowd. I'd also have liked drone photos to get a feel for crowd size.

Looks like even the weather cooperated. Nice.

Estimated turnout at the Houston demonstration: 26,000.

don't take care of yourself!
Hydration, A/C. Staying less active.

If no A/C a fast fan, and, like, putting an iced towel (damp towel put in your freezer) on your neck.

Drenching rain and thunderstorms that lasted several hours. I had to work, so couldn't go and haven't heard if any of them actually took place or were called because of the weather.
