Iran failed at defending their country

Iran has allowed Israel to attack more or less at will. There are no signs that Iran has been able to defend themselves and Israel claims they have aerial superiority in Iran's skies. That happened in less than 24 hours. But that's not the only problem for them. Trump and the US made it known the attack was coming. Israel's tactics of decapitation strikes are also well-known. But they allowed their leaders to be attacked at home. It's a complete failure.

You think that's bad? You have to read this statement from today:

“The offensive operations of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will continue with greater force and scope if these hostilities and aggressions persist,” the IRGC said.

If they persist? Israel told you they will persist. They all but said the words "we declare war." Is the IRGC stupid enough to think that this will end quickly? And are they also dumb enough to think that tough talk maters? The only thing that matters is action.

Iran should have been prepared for Israels tactics of using planes, drones, and missiles. They should have had a robust counterattack plan and capability. Israel thinks that Iran has around 2000 missiles. That's less than a month's worth at the current usage rate.

The one thing that countries like Iran, Syria and entities like Hamas and Hezbollah are good at is oppressing their own people. But they have otherwise gotten complacent and not taken the threats of outside actors seriously. They thought that tough, scary talk mattered. It doesn't matter if people pay attention to actions, not words.

That was one assessment I saw today.

It's a hopeful sign if true. Exiling to Russia to join Assad's family.

They have knock off S300's, they didnt allow them at all they just have shit anti-air defenses. If you think control of the air guts Iran's ability to counter attack then you are missing a lot of what is going on. dump is a fucking idiot but at least he was trying to control this diplomatically. Its not like Iran cant replace their nuclear scientists with Russian or Chinese scientists. They are either going to get the nukes or make peace. Israel is making things worse.

He was in on it.

But it's a conundrum. Who to believe? Trump or Israeli officials?

4. Israel destroyed much of Iran's air defense network 7 months ago.

Including destruction of its long-range detection radars and long-range surface-to-air missile batteries. Its missile production capability was crippled.

I thought then that Israel was already planning something big like this. It just needed a pretext. Iran should have been more mindful of this threat. Instead, it miscalculated trying to maximize its leverage (with the enrichment) during the negotiations. It backfired and Netanyahu pounced. After all, eliminating Iran as a threat is his lifelong goal. Along with the creation of Greater Israel on the backs and lands of Palestinians of course.

Yes, Iran was stupid, done in by the regime's hubris and fundamentalism. But there is no justification for yet another assault on a neighbouring sovereign country. Especially when you are the bully of the neighbourhood and the only one in the neighbourhood actually in possession of nuclear bombs. But as we see, Israel's security trumps everyone else's.

I do not think that Israel made the world, much less their own country, safer. And I do not think every culture views time in the same was as western society.

7. The Middle-East is a different world.

I’ve worked over there for periodically for years.
There is no culture of “ hard-work”. The lower class and immigrants perform all labor. Officers are appointed. An officer is not held to the same physical standards as a soldier. They do not lead from the front. Iraq had a large army and they lasted days against the US. The Afghanistan army was large rely untrainable by the US.

The military’s in those regions are a joke versus western standards. Saudi is a bit better because they are western trained. Israel training standards are on par with the West. Expectations that Iran can or will do anything with their military is misplaced. They can shoot missiles and hope to hit something.

My prediction if another Arab nation doesn't come to Iran's aid: Israel will now see more suicide bombers on Israel territory. There is a completely different strategy being played out.
