Congressional candidate, family talk about shooting near their Tucson home
A Congressional candidate and his family spoke out Friday, one day after shots were fired near their Tucson home.
Daniel Hernandez, who is running for the CD 7 seat that opened when Raul Grijalva died earlier this year, said the vehicle of one of his staffers was struck, and claimed several bullet casings were found in the area.
The Tucson Police Department confirmed officers were called to the area, South 10th Avenue and West 22nd Street, for reports of vandalism and that a vehicle may have been struck by a bullet.
The TPD said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
