(16,137 posts)Beaverton was a nice place to live as well. I lived near Tualitin Hills Nature park and used to walk and jog through it often and over to Nike Headquarters and their trail.

We both worked for Nike in the early days, before the campus, in fact that's where we met. 38 years and still going strong, both retired now..
We helped Phil Knight make his first billion.

(25,156 posts)I thought there would maybe be a few hundred people gathered in a park, but there were a couple thousand people stretched along both sides for a mile of major suburban highway. And they were all awesome people, some with little kids or dogs, some in costume. I stood next to one lady holding a big sign reading "Pissed Off Grandma," she told some cool stories. The road and sidewalk remained clear, it was very safe. Perfect weather, too.
