Best analysis I've seen on No Kings protest size says 2% of US was out yesterday

That exceeds the 2017 numbers!

Good thread here

Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels

Not yet the 3.5% needed to effect change, but very impressive and headed in the right direction.

The '3.5% rule': How a small minority can change the world:

The result is, we think, the most comprehensive source for the turnout at yesterday's No Kings Day events.
This is not an _official_ estimate by any means. But we do think it's more credible than relying on one single source or a finger-in-the-wind org guesstimate.

We do not intend this to be the final word. Rather, in the hybrid journalist-academic spirit of Strength In Numbers, we endeavor to help other people with their work. We have published our data publicly for researchers to use and build on. Data linked Here: www.gelliottmorris.com/p/no-kings-d...

Over 2 months between actions. I was there yesterday and I'm ready for the next one. Plus we need general strike days where no one goes to work or buys anything.
