voted in November. Many worked at the polls in some capacity or other.

If that is what you are alluding to.

You do remember the intensity of emotions we ALL went through after that election--one which we really believed Harris-Walz would win, right?

It has only been just short of 5 months since his inauguration. That the intense backlash at his policies has happened THIS quickly is, in itself, rather remarkable (and horrific). But THAT is what is energizing all of us now.

But to assume that NO KINGS participants DID NOT show up to vote last November is quite the stretch. Given there were (estimates) 6-10 million of us on the streets yesterday-- when Harris/Walz received 75,019,230 in the election-- the odds are quite high that most of No Kings participants DID show up last November (along with many others) to vote our ticket.

So, I don't get your point. If it is to suggest those of us (and it is US) who participated yesterday should be denigrated for not doing everything possible to avoid Trump's being elected, I think you are soooo misguided.

my former friend/neighbor was. She has been to tons of Anti-tRump protest with me but then on Nov 5th (I never forgive and forget) she called me and told me to remove my anti-tRump sign that I had placed outside my back door of my apt as I have done many times. Now she told me to remove it and "you should know better that you are not allowed to do that here". She is 84 years old and had a stick up her immature ass since I would not support her in the elections for the president of the HOA. Bitch!!! I barely have spoken to her since but then.....

On Fri AM she left a phone message asking if I were going to the protest and if she could come with me. Hell NO!!! What fucking nerve. I somehow managed not to tell her to fuck off and just said, "I'm going with my sister. Sorry!". I was NOT sorry!

My sign was to get people out to vote!!! She knew this.

My sister and I have been asking people who complain to us about tRump, "And who did YOU vote for in Nov?". It shuts them up very quickly.

Some of us tried as hard as we could to get our representatives and senators to listen, back in 2020, when we had control of both Houses.

We knew then how corrupt and bribed the Supreme Court was, and how ineffective it would be in the balance of power. We pushed for a revision of the judiciary act, to create new seats on the court so that Biden could appoint judges who would undermine the lack of constitutional adherence this court has provided.

It would have taken the kind of risky boldness that has helped along other monumental moments of achievement in American history. Maybe, if we had turned out in protest against this court, Democrats in Congress, instead of protecting their turf and their job, would have stood up, broken the filibuster,, passed the amended act and given Biden five, or six, or seven, or nine seats on that damn court.

The results of that would have been multiple blessings. They would have nullified Trump's delays and sped up the indictments into trials. With the evidence available, we'd have seen the orange idiot guilty of insurrection and ineligible to run again and in prison where he belongs. Roe would be saved, citizens United overturned and all of this money to buy elections would have evaporated. No presidential immunity means he could have been convicted of everything he'd been indicted for.

Now, we have to hope that kind of pressure will convince stone headed idiots in Congress to impeach and remove the bastard for all his crimes. And while that showing on Saturday was tremendous, it will have zero effect on making any changes. Maybe it scared a few Republicans to see thousands of people in districts they thought were safe, but I doubt it will do much else.
