You can see her reaching for her gun she was packing--then Security jumped on her. But at the beginning of the video, they seemed to just let her rage.
BREAKING: A raging MAGA agitator showed up to the No Kings protest looking for a fight and when she got it, she reached for her gun. These people arent patriots, theyre powder kegs with Fox News triggers. Completely unhinged.

(2,109 posts)On its face I fully support someone being able to defend themselves. However it seems to me that a lot of people dont know how to or dont choose to deescalate a situation. Or go looking for a fight and then claim they had to take a life to defend themself.

(6,406 posts)Initially, she was frustrated trying to get thru the crowd. He helped her navigate and asked where she wanted to be. He did everything right, but he shouldn't have had to. Law and order? Self defense? That doesn't seem to be the real reason too many strap on a gun and go where they obviously will not be part of the majority opinion.
He says they stepped to the side to figure out which way she wanted to go, when a protester started to yell at the woman Martin was escorting.*
"She hit and unbuckled her holster, and it was a two-button holster. So, bam, unbuttoned it. And, you can see in the video, my hands are up and I'm, I'm standing behind her and I'm just saying ma'am, please don't do this," recounted Martin.
He tells KRDO13 another security guard nearby was pleading to the woman, "don't grab the gun, don't grab the gun, don't grab the gun."
Martin tells KRDO13 as soon as he saw her grab it is when he grabbed her. He took the woman to the ground on a platform in the Sister Cities Plaza in Pueblo. Martin explained that there was a group of elderly ladies in the area and that's where his mind went in the moments leading up to the tackle.
*When your local organizers say 'don't engage with opposition' there is a reason. Follow the good advice.

(18,656 posts)On Monday morning, the Pueblo Police Department said the woman has been identified as Laura Hall, age 54. Police say she was charged with felony menacing with a deadly weapon and disrupting a lawful assembly.
Lets hope she cant plead it down to misdemeanors. I want her convicted of a felony and completely deprived of her gun rights.

I have no empathy for any of them anymore - if excessive force would have been used here to "calm" the situation, I would have been like "Gotta do what ya gotta do" - these Morons that Are Governing America, have turned me into a hateful hateful person - and I truly HATE them for it. Fuck' EM ALL!

She pulled out a gun and shot Josh Dukes point blank because he stopped her POS husband who was pepper-spraying protestors.
A King Co. (Seattle) jury let both of them walk. Nullified.

(3,100 posts)What is their training? Are any of them armed? What is their legal liability, the legal liability of the sponsoring organization? Very many of the people who will wear a gun will be ready to sue over any real or perceived slight.
And, most importantly, where were the police? Like them or not we pay for them to keep order. They should be held accountable when they fail, as they did here. Protest is our right under the Constitution, at least until the Republicans can get it changed. But the police have a responsibility to see that protests, which must be scheduled and cleared in advance, are held safely. If, because some reich-wing whackjobs on the supremacist court interpret the 2nd amendment in a certain way, safety means that each side must be kept apart the distance of a sniper rifle shot, then that is the reality in which we live.
