Not named Shapiro or Newsom.

Let’s hope it’s someone who will inspire those who sat out the 2024 election to show up and vote- that is the current challenge, NOT learning “how to listen to men” and persuading Biden 2020/Trump 2024 voters to switch back.

Would love to see Schumer retire, and AOC run for his seat.

In another 10 years, who knows what the future holds for her?

5. Think it through

As much as I think she’d make a great president, there are some critical questions to be answered:

How much money can she raise for the primaries and the general, compared to her competitors?

How will she defeat her primary competitors, who will likely include Newsom, Beshear, Murphy among others?

How does she turn the label “radical leftist socialist” from a pejorative into a strength with enough voters to win?

Does she even want to run?

On the plus side, I think she would generate tremendous enthusiasm and increase turnout among young voters…but would it be enough?

It would help her chances if she did run for Senate and win that seat in New York before running for President but if she chooses not to I still like her chances to raise money from grassroots donors.

I think her chances of winning a primary are tough because there may be people that like her policies but are unsure she can win a general election.

As far as the socialist label I think she can do it in a similar way that Bernie Sanders was able to. I remember this from Karl Rove who I hate to quote but he did get Bush elected so I think he can be right in his analysis sometimes.

Vox

Sanders self-identifies as a democratic socialist, and Rove, who told the Fox and Friends audience “socialism ain’t pretty,” even found something good to say about the parts of the senator’s appearance that addressed democratic socialism.

“He did a good job of softening the edges of socialism,” Rove said. “He made it feel warm and fuzzy, kumbaya, let’s shake hands around the campfire.”

I begin choosing from the wide-range of qualified candidates to solve problems not even imagined yet.
