'I don't appreciate the smirk. Sir, you are the secretary of defense.'

Acyn @Acyn
Rosen: Did you discuss General Haugh’s dismissal with Laura Loomer prior to his removal?

Hegseth: I don’t discuss who I talk about anything with..

Rosen: Do you believe it’s appropriate for any social media personality to influence decisions in your department?

Hegseth: Your time is up.

Rosen: It is not up to you to tell me when my time is up. You are either feckless or complicit. You’re not in control of your department. I don’t appreciate the smirk. Sir, you are the secretary of defense.

Markwayne is easily as feckless as he is stupid, which is really, really feckless.

That he is the key negotiator on tax legislation between the House and Senate shows just how feckless the GOP really is.

Markwayne Mullin -- as stupid as he is feckless, even more stupid than Ron Johnson, and more feckless than Ted Cruz -- is the worst of a really bad bunch.

He talked about how hitler considered Jews to be non-people. the propaganda followed. hitler's philosophy, according to Snyder, was that only the eradication of the "other" would result in a good life for "us." Nihilistic, and murderous.

considering the absolute contempt that every member of krasnov's cabinet has displayed toward Democratic lawmakers in every hearing I have seen clips of, I believe that anyone who isn't them has been reduced to the status of non-human.

needless to say we're all in peril from this administration.

In 2015 when the Republican party chose an authoritarian Strong Leader who was not committed to democracy to be their candidate they put democracy in the US on life support. They put party before country because they couldn't win without Trump. I don't see how the country can just go back when one of the two viable parties has shown that it is not committed to democracy.

Hegseth came out on top in a big way in this exchange. Ollie North anyone? Rosen needs to go back to the tapes and up her game. Maybe get a focus group going. I thought she came off like she was trying to trap Hegseth in a word trap. The "yes or no" gambit needs to be used sparingly. Otherwise, you look like you're just trying to trap your debate opponent into saying something. Using "yes or no" clumsily makes arguments that should win lose and even screws up the future use of "yes or no" by others on your side.

Needs to be remembered when the regime falls. Following orders will not be an excuse. Under duress will not be an excuse. Fear of losing his job will not be an excuse.

There are people in the country applauding his behavior. Given the opportunity they would commit evil acts as he has done. Remember, Remember, Remember.
