The way this is being described as a "relationship" pisses me off. A 44 yr old man murdered a vulnerable 14 yr old that he sexually abused. The age of consent, even in FL is 18 yrs old.
TAMPA, Fla. - More than three years after a 14-year-old girl's body was found in a field, the man charged with her murder is standing trial in a Tampa courtroom.
The backstory:
In May 2022, Nilexia Alexander was found shot to death off Floribraska Ave. Investigators said she was seen on video getting into Ronnie Walker's car in the early morning hours of May 6, 2022.
The teen was considered a runaway from Temple Terrace, police said. Earlier this week, her mother, Ashley Alexander, told FOX 13 she adopted Nilexia when the child was 4 years old.
SNIP---
Her mother had to listen to and see some of the gory details from the early morning of May 6, 2022, when her daughter was found shot six times, at least once in the head.
"That gun was within 12 inches of her face. Intentional premeditated," prosecutor John Terry told the jury.
Prosecutors believe Walker was mad he had contracted something from her in their relationship, and that he'd given it to his actual girlfriend.

(447 posts)She didnt say no. It looks like he came back to find her because she gave him an std. sounds like 1st degree murder.
But all of your comments are about men are patently false. Same as if I took a shockingly negative attribute of one woman and applied it to all.

(27,949 posts)What I am saying is that far too many men don't understand that "no" means "no". I've been there far too many times.

(447 posts)To not say worse. Most men are just fine actually. Most men get about their day without conflict with females and certainly have no difficulty understanding what no means. Some woman overly generalize negative connotations to entire groups but I would easily recognize that most .do not.

(27,949 posts)Having had far too many times when sex has been essentially forced on me, all I can say is to ask you if you've ever been coerced into having sex when you really and truly did not want to. If yes, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. If no, if you've never been coerced (or worse yet forced) into having sex when you really and truly did not want to, then you have no idea. I've been there.
And yeah, maybe not most men, but far too many men think that if they want sex, the woman should go along/cooperate/give in, whatever way you want to express it. Trust me, I've heard that sentiment over and over far too often.
So again, I'll ask, how often were you essentially forced to have sex?

(447 posts)Nowhere in the story was she forced anything. All you. She was murdered and the two guys involved are garbage .not all guys.

(447 posts)Or maybe not .because it would have been an adder charge to the murder.

(56,155 posts)men with the same frequency at which men murder and assault women today.
It would be a worldwide crisis. There would be no end to the articles and speeches asking, "What's wrong with women?"
But, sadly, this girl's story is all too common.
