Mr. President, Whatever Happened to Simply Raising the Cap a bit on Social Security???

Whatever happened to the fact that SS has NOTHING to do with the deficit???

Whatever happened to our Unicorn fantasies of all the wonderful things "Obama
could use his 2nd term to accomplish", that he 'couldn't afford to do' before being
re-elected???? Instead, we are being handed a "Grand Sell-Out"???????

Mr. President, you are bringing shame and disgrace to your office and your party by
letting this so-called "chained CPI" cut to Social Security slither up onto "The Table".

Just go over the fucking cliff, as recommended by Congressman Peter DeFazio and
others. It would be better to DO NOTHING than what you appear to be doing now,
i.e. considering these despicable and unnecessary cuts to Social Security.

POSTSCRIPT: As we are seeing here, having a 2nd Term POTUS can also have some
serious DOWNSIDES as well.

Obama can piss off whoever he wants to now, be it Wall St. or Seniors, along
with his entire Progressive base of REAL DEMOCRATS who would NEVER stoop to the
level of fucking with SS or Medicare.

Clearly Obama is just saying FU to millions of people who put their trust and hope in him
to use his 2nd term in an honorable and constructive manner, to make the "tough decisions"
in a way that is NOT ON THE BACKS OF THE POOREST AND MOST VULNERABLE.

a cudgel to drive authentic loophole action, which might not ever happen, but most assuredly will not happen with a bunch of lame ducks.

This is why some of us are so touchy about 2014.

Obama and his team have repeatedly dared us to go elsewhere...because where are we going to go? Mitt Romney?

They have held hostage- they can do whatever they'd like and we still have to vote for them at the end of it all, or feel like we voted for the Repubs.

Is it any wonder half the country doesn't bother voting? Anytime they do, they're screwed anyway.

or even political activism.

I do feel Obama needs to fucking hear our "WTF!!"s and feel at least a
little push-back when he does this shit. ..and I feel Democratic
Underground is a perfect place to register my feelings and opinions on
this and other stuff. I'm a keyboard warrior, and proud of it.
