I guess it's a real organization--in that they have a website (https://www.usspeaks.org) where they claim to do polling over text. There's no way, though, to confirm that this particular text really comes them. They have a link on their website on how to tell, but the conditions they give aren't really sufficient to validate the text.
Aside from that, does anyone know if they do legit polls? Like, not push polling. And who their clients are? (Mostly D, mostly R, or various). I feel like answering polls (for a change) would be one small way to have a voice and move the needle.
I'm thinking about signing up with them, to be part of their "panel" so then I have better validation that future texts aren't from a scammer.

(3,230 posts)They don't really investigate this particular organization, and they throw out a bunch of other likely scams without investigating those either. I'm still on the fence.

(3,230 posts)No significant info out there, no articles citing them for polling results. Just other people questioning if they're legit. Oh, and a YouTube channel (as "USSpeaks" that looks totally sketchy, but it doesn't really associate itself with this polling org, so could be totally unrelated.
Btw, this DU post now comes up on my preferred search engine (DuckDuckGo). Kinda weirds me out, haha.

(3,230 posts)Based on a response from user "Rintein" in this reddit thread, https://www.reddit.com/r/orangecounty/comments/119ee3a/hi_i_am_with_us_speaks_we_are_polling_ca/.
Still, even using DuckDuckGo's AI to search the web, there aren't any polling results attributed to them. Shrug.
