A customer told me she couldn't believe this store would put up a Pride display, because what if children see it??
Anyway, it was my display, and I'm proud of it, and you (and your children) should all see it. #BookSky 📚💙

(14,438 posts)They're not going to read a book if the subject doesn't interest them or makes them feel uncomfortable. They'll just pass by the display.
The answer should always be...
"Children won't spontaneously get ideas from a book just from walking by a display.
They will only get ideas from actually picking up a book and reading it cover to cover - and even then, they still only will pick a book up if the subject and writing interests them, no matter the hype is or what the cover looks like."
Just like I pass by several non-fiction sections, and in the fiction sections, the True Crime, gore porn horror, and "serious relationship" fiction - though I do like to giggle at the bodice ripper section, especially the historical "novels".
