it looked to me like they didn't care for Trump hijacking the Army birthday celebration for his giant ego.....they knew what he wanted and they did not comply

The ones in red berets behind him were rumored to be hand selected.....All Trumphumpers, and no "fatties" as Trump insisted they be "fit"......

the parade participants seemingly put country first, celebrating the Army birthday as opposed to Trump's fascist fantasies

Some people may not have realized it was Creedence Clearwater's antiwar/anti draft song that fit trump perfectly.😁

Likely more angry at him for the lackluster parade than all the Signal chats, etc.

menacing and robotic. Like the Nazi and North Korean and Soviet parades. Trump didn't realize he had to specify. He just had an idea in his head. Americans don't naturally act like that. Authoritarian showmanship is not part of US soldier training. You have to work to de-humanize your troops.

the style is off. The fuhrer wants his Brownshirts in the alley AND his goose-stepping soldiers in the streets

11. Route step, March

From Google AI

Route Step Marching:
Preparatory Command: "Route Step"
Command of Execution: "MARCH"
Execution: Upon the command "MARCH", soldiers take one more step at the prescribed cadence and then assume route step.
Key Features:
No cadence: Soldiers do not maintain a set marching pace or rhythm.
No silence: Talking is permitted, and soldiers can converse with each other.
Dress, cover, interval, and distance maintained: While not marching at attention, soldiers are still expected to maintain proper spacing and formation.
Obstacle avoidance: Movement is permitted to maneuver around obstacles as long as the established standards of dress, cover, interval, and distance are maintained.
Changing direction: Commanders can direct the lead element to change direction informally.
Resuming attention: To return to marching at attention, the command "Quick time, MARCH" is given, and the commander may count cadence for the first few steps.

You want us to march. You didn't specify which one.
The Army did an excellent route step. Semper Fi

Everything for an event like this is approved ahead of time.
If we look for the orders, I will wager that they specify to step off at Route Step and nowhere in the document is Quick Time referenced. Henceforth, unit leaders never had orders to march in step. Participants could enjoy their walk down the street.

Whiskey Pete signed at the bottom of the page, shitgibbon is pissed. Kegsbreath should have known what Route Step was.

Every one of the parade participants was complying with orders.

With a big salute to my Army brothers and sisters.

And by the way, we learned to march in PERFECT cadence in boot camp. Army would be the same.
