Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Saturday the assassination of Mohammad Saeed Izadi, the commander of the Palestine Corps within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force.
Izadi, according to reports, helped finance and arm Hamas in the lead-up to the October 7 massacre. He was reportedly behind the "plan to destroy Israel" by coordinating assaults on Israel from multiple fronts.
Izadi was killed in an apartment in the city of Qom, south of Tehran.
Katz said, "He funded and armed Hamas ahead of the October 7 massacre. This is a major achievement for Israeli intelligence and the Air Force - justice for the murdered and the hostages. Israel's long arm will reach all its enemies."

I will shed no tears.
My younger daughter was visiting friends in Israel at the time, and would have been at the event if they had been able to find a baby sitter.
When I consider what could have happened to her if she had gone, I think that no action specifically undertaken to remove such a person from the face of the earth will earn my condemnation.
