Physically assault them and rough them up on camera?
Then send them to jail?

The German nazis at least gave Catholic priests and nuns some respect and leeway.

With every outrageous thing they do with no real consequences the masked Kkklansmen of ice get more emboldened.

Remember white Christian nationalism, the klan, et al hold Catholics only marginally above Jews and blacks.

In Argentina’s state terrorism and he passed the lessons on. 30,000 or so people disappeared, were shot n killed tortured or somehow just disappeared. Pope Francis was a priest during that time and it changed his life forever, he said, when he finally found ways to quietly intervene by giving protection to some people after allegations of complicity with the government. There was a two part documentary when he passed and this was told in his own words about how it happened..how he got Woke!

So Catholics, enlighten me. What's hierarchy under the Pope...Cardinal, Arch Bishop, Bishop...what's next?

The hierarchy is permanent deacon, transitional deacon, priest, bishop. Permanent deacons are those who assist a parish. Transitional deacons make the “transition” to the priesthood. The Pope can bestow the honorary title of Monsignor upon a priest. Priests become bishops. The bishop of a small diocese (e.g., the Diocese of Wilmington, DE) is simply referred to as Bishop (Name). The bishop of a larger diocese ( e.g., the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, PA) is referred to as an Archbishop (Name). These bishops of dioceses (small or large) could be (are usually) appointed by the Pope as cardinals (still a bishop). One of the eligible cardinals could become Pope (e.g., Pope Leo XIV). The pope is also a bishop: The Bishop of Rome. The XIV after Leo’s name means the there were thirteen popes named Leo before him. Pope Francis did not have a Roman numeral after his name because he was the first pope named Francis. Hope this is as clear as mud!

"From refugee to bishop of San Diego, Michael Pham fled Vietnam in 1980 at age 13"

Michael Pham recalls tear gas in the air when he was a child in South Vietnam. "It was hard to breathe," he said. "It was very difficult."

Born in Da Nang, Pham at age 8 in 1975 fled the North Vietnamese Army with his family, jumping on a rice barge and spending several days at sea with no food or water. As the seasick Pham was leaving the boat, he saw many people on its floor.

"I thought they were sleeping," he told the Southern Cross, "but I came to realize that they were dead."

A half-century later, Pham, a longtime San Diego priest who had been made an auxiliary bishop for the diocese in 2023, was announced as Pope Leo XIV's first appointment of a bishop in the United States. Pham's appointment also makes him the first Vietnamese American to lead a U.S. diocese.

and a lour warning shot across the bow of the already leaky ship containing the Reagan coalition of Protestants and Catholics who were united because they thought women should be controlled instead of autonomous.

Pope Leo is off to a decent start. At least he's not another dismal conservative.
