Well, we're an hour into 12-21-12 here in Europe. Pleased to report:

SO FAR SO GOOD!!! Will check in if any Mayan mayhem appears imminent.

Nothing more than torrential rains to report thus far. And unseasonably mild temps, but that's becoming more and more the norm.

Anybody have any disquieting disturbances in the force field to report from elsewhere?

We are SO used to very little windy days down here.
So tonight and tomorrow's "high" winds of...gasp...35 mph gusts have triggered a "special weather statement".
Temperature dropping like a rock, below 30 they say.

I think being inside and making cookies with a grand baby is a wonderful way to spend a day.

Right on queue, my phone would not work! Had to restart 4 times and it still wouldn't let me do anything (which is alarming to anyone without a landline). Then out of nowhere the wind picked up and was howling really loud. For a few seconds I was worried and thought I saw aliens in the shadows. This morning I discovered that my keyboard, Swype Beta, went haywire when it turned 12/21 and that's why my phone didn't work. I wonder if that was the developers' idea of a joke?
