It's the Senate Bill or the cliff

Statement By Reid Spokesman

Washington, D.C. – Adam Jentleson, spokesman for Nevada Senator Harry Reid, released the following statement tonight:

“It is now clear that to protect the middle class from the fiscal cliff, Speaker Boehner must allow a bill to pass with a combination of Democratic and Republican votes. Speaker Boehner’s partisan approach wasted an entire week and pushed middle-class families closer to the edge. The only way to avoid the cliff altogether is for Speaker Boehner to return to negotiations, and work with President Obama and the Senate to forge a bipartisan deal.”

“The Senate bill is the only one that will be signed into law. We can protect middle-class families tomorrow. The Speaker refuses to bring our bill to the floor because it would pass,” Reid said.

Well this guy at Forbes magazine hates it, so it must be pretty good. This would be a pretty good result, and better than going over the cliff.

So it's up to Boehner now to do the right thing or send us over the cliff? Not too shabby.
