His "drinking" was much laughed at, but not real.

Lots of people accuse Boner of drinking, but I don't ever recall seeing him drunk. I di know that he has a similar voice cadence to Dean Martin, which could account for him being seen as a drunk, facts be damned . . . . . . or not.

Which is why I asked the question.
