Also, how many military people and police officers have killed spouses, etc.?

AND let's move on to George Zimmerman, who was supposedly one of the good guys. Well I guess he's an example of my first point. You can't tell who the good guys are, so you're basically just arming people hoping you're arming more good people than bad people, but with no way of really knowing.

5. Um... what if the bad guy couldn't get a gun?

Maybe he'd still be bad, but it would be a whole lot harder for him to kill a bunch of people.

But what else did you expect that asshole to say? That's always been their position: More guns!

6. That's total bullshit. In my dojo we work on disarming w/out using guns.

there are several good and effective strategies to accomplish this.

Granted, you can do nothing if someone opens a door and starts blazing away 20 yards away, but there are ways to stop "bad guys with guns" with out a "good guy with a gun"

And besides, don't we already have "good guys with guns"? We call them cops, right?

9. What if the "bad guy" had had early childhood intervention with his mental problems?
Fri Dec 21, 2012, 12:25 PM

That might happen if we had single-payer health care and didn't put such a stigma on mental health issues.

What if "bad guys" grew up in a stronger child welfare system and had parents who made living wages and were able to take parenting classes?

Oh right, more money. Sorry. Couldn't possibly find a way to allocate resources to those programs.

What if "bad guys" went to schools where bullying was taken seriously, where respect was a core value? What if people went to work and didn't have to ask permission to go to the bathroom? What if we tried to prevent all the little aggressions so they didn't snowball into big aggressions?

Oh yeah, that's a PC way to live. It raises sheep who need sheepdogs. This is a jungle, man, and there isn't anything that will change it. Let's not even try. MOAR GUNZ.
