This is what I would like to see in a gun bill
Treat gun license like drivers licenses.
You would have to pass a written test, a shooting test and the same types of medical and mental health restrictions as the department of motor vehicles requires.
You would also have to have so many hours of gun safety classes and pass. And you would have to have this renewed every few years.
You would also not be able to purchase firearms without first having a gun licenses. And even at the point of sale there is a required 7 day waiting to check the license and background checks.
Ban all assaults rifles and their ammo. Ban all automatic and most semi automatic gun and their ammo.
Oh and raise the taxes on guns that or some type of mandatory insurance.
Just my two cents. As it is obvious the nra is going to have NO meaningful help what so ever as 2 people have already protested and the nra is blaming everyone but themselves. Crazy. This is just bat shit nuts!
