Militia fueled by bizarre conspiracy theory brings down weather radars

By Sarah K. Burris
Published July 9, 2025 5:34 PM ET

A militia known as the "Veterans on Patrol" aims to dismantle weather radars, and KWTV News 9 has discovered that it's part of a larger conspiracy theory surrounding weather manipulation.

Amid false conspiracies about the floods in Texas being part of a kind of cloud seeding attack, organization founder Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer confirmed to News 9 that they were "absolutely" working to target Oklahoma radars.

The comments come "days after an individual vandalized News 9’s weather radar," the report said.

This rampant nutty conspiracy theory spread is causing untold damage. It doesn't help that we have nuts like these in the gov't.: MTG being one.

So...active in different states, not just starting up this year, and willing to go in to areas after weather disasters and lie about who they are.

Last year, Meyer was part of an effort in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene for posing as an aid worker to encourage locals to tear down cell towers and attack the military.

That goes a bit beyond local kooks vandalizing important infrastructure.

This country went from being one of the highest educated population to bottom tier. It started with a vengeance with Reagan.

of tornado alley? Yeah real smart. Last I heard, weather manipulation is pretty "iffy" and very expensive.

I'm surprised they haven't accused prominent Democrats of kidnapping and trafficking the kids at camp.

To protect the average citizen from these folks.

Id bet that 10 year of them running amok would have a signficiant portion of even the trump supporters clamoring for a return to science, fact, social good based governance.

Of course, we have already lost all of our social safety and control of our government to fascism, let alone what is coming next. Getting it back wont be easy even if we could get to 80% of the citizens clamoring for a turn to the left.

I am not kidding one bit. I busted out laughing when someone at the local store told me that. I stopped when I realized they were serious. Then I pointed at them and laughed even harder
