This is all about the weapons manufacturers.

(3,283 posts)The reason I say that is, gun enthusiasts need the manufacturers to keep producing more and more shiny objects for them to be enthused about.

(17,181 posts)That way, the non-psycho members (roughly 75% of the membership) can go ahead and cancel their memberships with a clear conscience and start a new organization based on the "old" NRA -- and the ones who remain can watch what's left of the "new" NRA relegated to the same status as the Gun Owners of America.

Instead of gun free school zones...he wants lots of guns war zones. What could possibly go wrong with that idea/plan?

(2,674 posts)Members of NRA cancel their membership. The NRA doesn't care about the sportsman, they just want to sell more guns so they can get more lobby money from the gun manufacturers. That's what's its all about, whipping up the members into a frenzy and making money off the Newtown shootings.
Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)Teachers are educated and have degrees and believe it or not they deal with very young students. Is the NRA going to fund the venture of putting armed guards in every school, pay all the expenses of hiring armed guards, I doubt they will. This would probably make the schools more attractive to people who wish death by cop suicide. If this is the best suggestion the NRA has then this group is further from reality than I thought.
