I Am Not Surprised
I am not in the least bit surprised by what Wayne LaPierre said at the NRA press conference. Before the conference a number of people in the media were expecting LaPierre to try to find common ground with President Obama and others discussing stricter gun laws. One even thought that LaPierre might let some of the Democratic Senators who will be up for reelection in 2014 off the hook and let them vote for stricter gun laws. I did not in the least bit believe LaPierre was going to adjust his stances on gun laws.
I thought about starting a post here and stating that I thought LaPierre would come out gun blazing and not back down. I just did not believe LaPierre was going to support stricter gun laws. So, LaPierre did mainly what I thought he was going to do.
